However you support the legacy of Elijah Gomez, (financial contributions, community partnerships, volunteering) we thank you from the bottom of our healing hearts.
Donations support the healing garden and community violence prevention and healing programs. Eli’s Garden of Healing is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with the IRS so your donations are tax-deductible. The federal EIN is 88-2835491 listed as Elis Garden of Healing.
Volunteer opportunities
Immediate volunteer opportunity (grants): we are looking for motivated, self-starter(s) who can help us (A) identify and create a list of grants to consider and/or (B) help write and apply for grants which will jumpstart our mission. Creating a google sheet with eligible grants with timelines, estimated grant size & links to apply is an easy-to-work on task at a laptop. Grant writing is a bit more effort to thoughtfully tell the story of Eli’s Garden of Healing. A member of the Board will support this/these volunteer(s).
Immediate volunteer opportunity (community engagement): similar to our need for assistance seeking out grant opportunities, we are very interested in finding someone who can research local non-profits, garden centers, violence prevention groups, violence support groups, and community members who we should consider partnering with. The initial need is for a google sheet file to be created. As that list is created, there may be additional volunteer opportunities to engage with selected organizations. Similar to the grants being written by the same or a different volunteer, community engagement can be done by the same volunteer or a different person. A member of the Board will support this/these volunteer(s).
