On Sunday February 15th we gathered with over 75 EGH supporters and community leaders to connect around our shared visions for hope and peace while celebrating Difference Makers working hard to build better tomorrows.
Music from Seth Adam filled the Barrel Room of New England Brewing Company while attendees learned life-saving skills from nursing students at Quinnipiac University, bid in our overflowing silent auction, and played Plinko supporting the fundraiser.

Funds raised during the event came from ticket sales, our silent auction, pop-up merch store, and Plinko game. Many attendees made onsite donations, plus folks who could not attend donated on our website and social media fundraiser.
Thank you to everyone who contributed towards this fantastic result!
Congratulations to our inspiring Difference Makers who were recognized at the event: Brandon Daley & Dr. Pina Violano, in addition to State Rep Josh Elliott and Jessica Rizzo who could not speak at the new rescheduled date. We were thrilled Josh was able to squeeze in a visit to the event in between his prior scheduled commitments. Thanks for coming Josh!
We celebrated State Rep Laurie Sweet for her tireless work advocating in the community and honored her with a Difference Maker award. As Kyle Zukauskas stated in his speech recognizing Laurie “We are an anti-violence organization, but there is one type of fighting that we do like. It is the kind Laurie does every day and every week. We see her way too many Sundays where she is coming off the campaign trail or coming from an event where she is fighting the good fight” Kyle outlined many great ways Laurie is constantly fighting the good fight advocating for EGH, environmental justice, housing justice, & transit justice. We are THRILLED to have been able to honor Laurie at our event and celebrate the tireless work she does for our neighbors.
