With the uptick in violent crimes in Hamden we wanted to take a moment to thank our hard working detectives.
In case you missed the recent news:

In response to this wave of violent crimes, our Mayor Adam Sendroff and Chief of Police Edward Page Reynolds released a joint statement on violence in the community and reinforced that their offices are committed to bring peace and change.
Having personal experience working with these detectives, we know firsthand just how hard our Major Crimes Detectives work to put the pieces of the puzzles together in these complex cases.
With a massive snowstorm on the way – which is sure to create difficult conditions to collect evidence, bitter cold – making hours out on the streets interviewing the community unbearable, and long hours combing over interviews and evidence we wanted to send a care package to the Detectives to show them we care and that the community supports them.

The care package included microwave mac and cheese, grab and go snacks ranging from chips to fruit to trail mix, and hand and feet warmers, plus some of our EGH stickers. We hope this fuels your long hours and endless, dedicated work bringing answers and closure to families impacted by violence.
Thank you HPD 💙
