2025 Makers Market Fundraiser

Our 2nd Annual Makers Market fundraiser took place on a lovely, sunny fall afternoon on the lawn of Spring Glen Church on October 25th. The community enjoyed shopping, delish food, and made sure to come by the EGH information tables to learn more about our work this year advancing the healing garden initiative.

This year the market raised $3,867.75

The fundraiser featured a vegetarian chili station with chili donated by our second year supporters The Cannon, a robust bake sale, merch in our EGH pop up shop, and a raffle filled with locally made items for attendees to bid on.

In addition to the shopping and food, attendees enjoyed music from Seth Adam as well as performances from Hamden High School’s Mainstage Ensemble students! Jay Kaye Services added to the fun of the event with a special table set up to paint EGH hearts!!

In between the music, the event paid special recognition to our day one supporter Mayor Lauren Garrett and featured a pop in from our State Senator Martin Looney.

We are so grateful to the wonderful makers for supporting this event. All of the makers paid booth fees to participate in the event AND donated an item to our raffle to further help with the fundraising efforts. Big thank you to our many 2nd year makers as well as those who joined for the first time. You are the heartbeat of this fundraiser. We appreciate how much our mission aligns with yours!

Thank you to our 2025 Makers & Community Organizations who supported the event

Huge thank you to Spring Glen Church for donating the space for us to host the Makers Market fundraiser two years in a row!!

And thank you to Juliana Camizzi for volunteering as our event photographer. Most photos shown in this post are from her volunteer work. Thank you!! Our volunteers help bring these events to life. From our volunteer Board of Directors, to those who baked for the bake sale, and friends who donated their time volunteering in our pop up shop, chili station, and throughout the market- THANK YOU.

An especially big thank you to Marcia Thomas, Board Secretary, who led the efforts to run this event for the last two years.
