Hamden High Football joins EGH and HPD for a wonderful afternoon of Yale Football

Taking students to watch college sports has quickly become some of our favorite events of the year.

This time the game was Yale vs Stonehill for their first match up in the history of the two schools. Yale won 47-7 making an exciting game for the home team!

Our trip with the HHS football team was the largest trip to date, thanks for some early planning with HHS Athletic Director Coach Dyer to plan early around the school’s bye week!! Thanks for that idea Coach!!

We are so grateful to Yale Athletics for donating the tickets to send the students to the game. Yale was fantastic to work with. We cant wait to watch the Bulldogs again!

Our long-time partners at the Hamden Police Department had a great time chaperoning as well. In addition to chaperoning, the HPD sponsored the buses to get to and from the game. Thanks to the Hamden PD for covering the buses for every single youth trip we have done to college games! This partnership is a win-win for everyone involved.

On top of all of the fun, we were surprised by three students who received Eli’s Cleats donations this year and wrote the most beautiful, heartfelt letters of gratitude. It was a nice reminder how meaningful Eli’s Cleats is supporting student-athletes with out-of-pocket expenses, which can often be a burden for families to afford.
