It’s official! Our Eli’s Cleats program has expanded to Eli Whitney Technical School.
What is Eli’s Cleats? It is a program we founded to help keep kids on the field and off the streets. Student-Athletes are driven to get better grades and be better role models in the halls. Our mission is to help students who may have a financial barrier to play, by donating gift cards to help fund essential out of pockets expenses not covered by the athletic department like cleats, mouth guards, padding, and other essentials.
15 year old Elijah Gomez was a member of the Hamden High Football team at the time of his senseless murder. The compassion and generosity he extended to his friends and classmates carries on as part of his legacy through the Eli’s Cleats program. As he would say “I got you!”
