This was our first year participating in the Travelers Championship. We are thrilled to share that over the last few months we have received generous donations through donors like you via our Birdies For Charity link. This includes $6,529 in donations from donors PLUS $979 Bonus Bucks from Webster Bank donation matches. Stay tuned for an update on our participation next year!

The Birdies For Charity program was a wonderful program for us to participate in. Here are three big reasons why this program mattered to us:

1.) Travelers covers the cost of the credit card processing fees for all donation. THIS IS HUGE. We typically ask donors if they will cover the transaction fees as an option. It is 50/50 if a donor covers these fees or if we absorb the cost. Travelers picking up this fee was a major way to ensure that every dollar a donor contributed went directly to Eli’s Garden of Healing.

2.) Webster Bank matched all donations by 15%. This is a rare opportunity for us. Their donation of $979 will go a long way as a lean organization.

3.) We got to share our mission on iHeart radio at the course on the final day of the Championship. Being able to broadcast our mission on the radio was amazing. The more people hear our story and the work we are doing, the better!
