This new grant will allow EGH to partner with Swords to Plowshares Northeast to create a gun violence awareness sculpture welded from guns returned to the local police departments during buy-back programs.
Like most of our work at EGH, the design process will be rooted in community feedback from members of our community impacted by gun violence. This piece will be used to spark conversation about the need for change, peace, hope, and healing.
Stay tuned as we announce plans for public and private feedback session to inform our design process.
